“The modern-day slave” is an epithet for “Child laborer.” Future seemed to be virtually dead, only wonder that entwined with their lives is “survival”– no education, no entertainment, no play, no relaxation; in fact, child laborers utterly deprived of the insignia of childhood colors. Child labor has become a household name nowadays in an endemic form. These innocent souls are the victims of traps ranging from hazardous milieus to drug trafficking to prostitution and so on. Despite having a connotation of hopelessness, I hope against hope, believing that hope never dies, that these modern-day slaves shall get the status of a complete human being, sooner or later.
