“Feast that Wasn’t” from the King Midas series tells the story of hunger hidden behind glitter. The golden fruits shine, but they are cracked and lifeless and impossible to eat. They represent Midas’ curse, offering wealth that promises a lot but feeds no one. Below, tiny proletariat ants wander searching for food in a world where greed has already taken everything. The feast lies untouched, slowly rotting, a quiet metaphor that when greed replaces care for life, abundance becomes emptiness.
